Message from the Superintendent and Newsletter

Greetings Cohasset Families,

Please click on the link to access the Navigator Newsletter for 1/13/2023. Within this newsletter is an additional resource for talking with students regarding the recent news impacting Cohasset. This resource, which comes from Riverside Trauma Center, who is currently working with Cohasset school faculty and staff to support them and to guide them on working with students, is linked below:

Talking with Students about Traumatic Events

Our primary goal is to maintain our routines for our students, as we support students, families, and staff. We always stress the importance of adhering to normal routines during all difficult times, as children find comfort in knowing that schools are safe and supportive.

Please be mindful that schools are required to respect student and staff confidentiality rights, which prohibit us from being able to disseminate confidential information to the public.

Have a wonderful weekend and a nice Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. Please take some time to reflect on Dr. King’s messages of peace, civil disobedience, courage, activism, and love. In a time when courage is needed to improve our society, Dr. King stands as a shining example of our potential to make true change and of our responsibility to make this world a better place.

Sincerely,

Patrick Sullivan, Ed.D.
