Mr. Kevin Dykas
Welcome to P.E.
Hi everyone and welcome to my web page. I am currently in my 16th year teaching Physical Education at the Osgood School. I teach grades K-2 at the Osgood School, and currently have three third grade classes at the Deer Hill School. Before arriving to Cohasset, I taught Physical Education for 7 years in the town of Berkley, MA. I received my undergraduate teaching degree from Keene State College in Physical Education, and have a Master's Degree in Elementary Education from Bridgewater State College. I commute each day from Cape Cod and am married with 3 children and 2 cats (Trick & Treat). I have been a part of the RISE (before school program) for over 15 years, and have developed and overseen the Osgood Summer Sports and Activities Camp for grades K-2 for the past 14 years. Over the years, I have also been a part of many after school activities and have coached my own children in a variety of sports (soccer, basketball, baseball, and even a little lacrosse). During the summer, my family and I enjoy camping in Maine and NH and spending time enjoying activities in the great outdoors!
The Physical Education Program at the Osgood School is an essential part of every child's educational experience. Physical Education classes provide students the opportunity to participate in a variety of developmentally appropriate activities. These activities are designed to help each student develop their basic movement skills, improve their level of fitness, and gain knowledge of specific movement and health concepts.
