Technology Vision Statement

In support of the district vision, technology will be seamlessly woven into the following four objectives to promote teaching and learning for:

  • Planning instruction and assessing student knowledge
  • Engaging and providing access to knowledge for students with diverse learning styles
  • Partnering with families, communities, and global network of learners
  • Collaborating with colleagues

The integration of technology is a critical component essential to achieving these objectives and fostering 21st century skills such as independent, creative thinking, problem solving, communication, collaboration, and timely communication with students and families.

Purposefully embedding technology into the curriculum transforms the learning experience for all students by providing tools that help align current teaching and learning strategies with curriculum standards. This allows us to meet the diverse learners in ways that were previously inconceivable.

In addition, the district provides meaningful and ongoing professional development to support the use of technology in achieving these objectives. The district, through a variety of policies and communications, promotes responsible digital citizenship in our community of educators, students, and families.
