I teach grades 6, 7, and 8.  I have taught in Cohasset for over 15 years and was formerly a teacher in Worcester and Acton/Boxborough.  I have been teaching art for over 30 years.

 In grade 6, I teach about creating compositions using the art elements:  line, shape, color, texture, value, use of space, and form.  

In grade 7,  I teach students how to create the art principles using the art elements.  The art principles are:  unity, balance, movement, emphasis, contrast, rhythm and pattern, proportion

In grade 8, I teach students how to create with both the art elements and principles through mixed media larger pieces of art while learning 2 point perspective, acrylic paint on canvas, mandalas and value drawings from photographs using a grid method.
