The Cohasset School Committee voted to approve the FY24 Budget on March 15, 2023.  This budget, at $22,905,421, is a 2.51% increase from the FY23 budget.  In addition to this amount, the Town has agreed to allocate one time funding in the amount of $300,000 to fully fund full day kindergarten beginning 7/1/23.  The Town has also agreed to allocate one time funding in the amount of $272,188 to support the purchase of additional supplies and materials/curriculum materials  in the areas of Music/Arts K-12; MS/HS Math 6-12.   This brings the total school requested budget to $23,477,609 (5.07%) in which the Town and the School Department have agreed upon.    In this budget the district will be able to invest in several key priorities, including:

• Add Grade 3 Deer Hill Elementary (due to enrollment)
• Add .50 Math Specialist - Osgood (to help with interventions)
• Add 1.0 PreSchool Teacher - Osgood
• Add 1.0 PreSchool ESP - Osgood
• Add .50 Math Specialist – Deer Hill (to help with interventions)
• Add 1.0 MS Math Teacher
• Add 1.0 HS Math Teacher/Specialist
• Add .25 Athletic Trainer
• Add 1.0 Library ESP - HS
• Add 1.0 Custodian - MS/HS
