Mrs. Deininger’s Writing Prompts 

Pick a prompt to write about in a journal at home.

*What is on your bucket list for activities this summer? (This could be a list or written in sentences explaining why you want to do it.)

*What is your favorite meal?

*If you got a ticket to fly anywhere in the world, where would you want to go and why?

*What would you do if you found a $100 bill on the sidewalk?

*Write a story about one of your friends from camp or from school.

*Write directions on how to prepare a bowl of pasta.

*What is your favorite way to spend time with your family?

*Make a fort and then write about how you built it and share what you did in the fort.

*Go for a walk with your family and then write about the creatures you saw.

*What is your favorite number and why?

*Write about an act of kindness.

*Describe your favorite spot in your house.

*Did you like dressing up in costumes? Why or why not? 

*What is the first thing you want to do when you get home from camp or school?

*Write about a hero you know. Tell about what makes that person a hero.

*Write a book review for a book that you have enjoyed.

*Write a fictional story about a magical creature that came to visit you at your home.
