About the Teacher

Mr. Saluti worked in the Financial Software industry for fifteen years. In 2015 he started at Deer Hill as a substitute, and is currently the Technology Lab instructor. He lives in Scituate with his wife and two children. He earned his BA in Economics from Saint Anselm College.

Curriculum Overview

In the Deer Hill Technology classroom, students will learn basic skills to navigate our digital world. They will practice keyboarding using a proven program, Keyboarding Without Tears. There is a strong emphasis on Digital Citizenship, because it is so important to keep your personal information safe and our online behavior can have a lasting impact on our lives. Students are encouraged to use their creativity while learning how to use Google tools such as Docs, Slides and Sheets. And their problem solving skills are put to the test while learning basic computer programming using code.org.
