At this evening’s School Committee Meeting, the Cohasset School Committee voted unanimously to return all elementary students at Joseph Osgood School and Deer Hill School to full-time in-person learning (five days a week with full day Wednesdays) beginning this Monday, March 1, 2021. This is wonderful news. We are thankful to the School Committee, District Leadership, staff, and families who worked diligently to make this happen for our students.
Although there will be more specific information forthcoming from principals, I want to bring a few details to your attention:
Drop-Off:
Bus drop-off will be at the usual time for both schools
Cars at DH: Cohort A should please drop-off at 9:05AM and Cohort B should please drop-off at 9:15AM
Cars at Osgood: Cohort A should please drop-off at 9:10AM and Cohort B should please drop-off at 9:25AM
Pick-Up:
Bus pick-up will be at the usual time for both schools. Walkers and bikers will be dismissed after buses, as usual.
Cars at DH: Cohort A should please pick-up at 3:15PM and Cohort B should please pick-up at 3:30PM
Cars at Osgood: Cohort A should please pick-up at 3:20PM and Cohort B should please pick-up at 3:40PM
Each school is in the process of distributing to families a color-coded last name sign identifying cohort for their windshield, which should be utilized during drop-off and pick-up at both schools. Please do not line up for pick-up and drop-off too early, as this could cause traffic issues.
Once again, further information is forthcoming from principals. I have attached this evening’s presentation, along with a copy of the district calendar for your review. We are so excited to unify the cohorts and to bring back our elementary students to full-time in-person learning. Have a great evening.
